OBJECTIVE
- Help Malaysian companies to grow their business by means of good business and technology strategies and help them to penetrate local and overseas markets
- Establish trust-based networks between Malaysian companies to foster long-term collaboration
- Initiate sharing of experience between Malaysian companies
- Increase awareness of Malaysian companies for benefits and potential formats of support from research and enhance research-industry collaboration
- Ensure future-orientation and promote trend-scouting activities of Malaysian companies
- Increase visibility of Innovative Malaysian companies
CHARACTERISTICS
- Network of 12 to 15 companies as a specific sector (e.g. Food & beverage) or a shares topic of interest (e.g. processing technology) that work together for a fixed period of time (e.g. one year, two years)
- The network is moderated by a scientific partner
- Others scientific organizations and intermediaries can join the network. The focus, however, should be on industry
- Members meet regularly every 3-6 months to work on relevant sub-topics and exchange experiences. The events are organized and moderated by the main scientific partner.
- In between the events, the moderator works on research activities for the innovation network. Activities are agreed on and supported by the industry members (e.g. joint conduct of survey)
- Members can change within the course of the fixed working period. Changes have to be agreed on in the team.
